Warm and Creamy Bacon Dip

Not exactly “clean eating”  but, oh so good. Perfect for scooping with chips or bread, dipping with veggies and enjoying with a cold beer, or not.

Warm and Creamy Bacon Dip
Serves 12
Recipe from Daisy Brand

8-ounces softened cream cheese
2 cups sour cream
3 ounces cooked bacon, crumbled or bacon bits
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup chopped green onion
Bring cream cheese to room temperature.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.  In a bowl, combine all the ingredients.   Place in 1-quart baking dish.  Cover.  Heat 25-30 minutes or until hot.  Serve with sliced French bread, crackers and/chips.
Note:  Dip may also be placed in hollowed round sourdough loaf, wrapped in foil and heated too 400 degrees F. for 30 minutes.

  2. Holy cow. This would be perfect for our Friday night Happy Hour dinners. My husband would be very happy. He adores bacon. Let's see… I think beer would be perfect with this. Yeah.

  3. Sounds phenomenal but I would be tempted to add it a little charred diced jalapeno or habanero. That's what I like about this one, it's so easy to put a personal spin on it with just one or two ingredients and you can do that so many different ways.
