I affectionately call this cocktail my vodka mojito. This is a perfect Summer cocktail. This one is calling your name, give it a try!
Fresh Mint Martini
Serves 1 (easily doubled)
Recipe from Food Network
Combine 1 or 2 slices cucumber, 4 or 5 mint leaves, 1 tablespoon lime juice and 1 teaspoon sugar in a shaker and crush with a muddler or spoon. Add 3 ounces gin or vodka and fill with ice. Cover and shake, then strain through a sieve into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a cucumber slice.
Enjoy!
Now that I would love to try! Intriguing drinks you post my dear!

Velva, I prefer to make a mint sugar syrup to avoid the little mint bits in my drink and on my teeth! Nice refreshing combo with the cucumber.

This is a hot drink in NYC right now and every bar/restaurant has a special name for it. There's the 'Jimmie' at Norwood (after Jimmie Hendricks) where they insist on making it with gin instead of vodka and countless other places serving it under different frou frou names. But you're right – at its heart it's simply a vodka mojito with cucumber, isn't it?The cucumber really really makes it. I would imagine even cuke haters would find it irresistible. Thanks so much for sharing this great recipe – now I can make it at home and call it whatever I want:)http://meatandpotatoesfoodie.blogspot.com/

Oh, delicious! I'm going to have to have one (or err, a few) of these before it gets too chilly round here. I have my own mint but sadly my lime is too much of a baby to give me any fruity goodness quite yet.
